Whether you call it a lanai, a screened patio, a screened-in porch, or a screen room, Browning’s Aluminum builds and rebuilds them across Marion County and Central Florida. Veteran-owned, BBB A+ accredited, and built by our in-house crew with no subcontractors. Serving Ocala, The Villages, Belleview, Summerfield, Dunnellon, and the surrounding communities for over 10 years.
Most lanai and patio jobs fall into one of two buckets: a brand-new screen enclosure on an existing covered space, or a rescreen of an existing lanai or patio where the screens have aged or been damaged. We do both, and we tell you which fits your project on the free estimate.
-
New Construction & Rescreening
We frame new screen rooms on existing covered spaces and rescreen aged or storm-damaged lanais and patios.

Most Marion County lanais use 6005-T5 or 6063 aluminum extrusions in bronze, white, or gray. Mesh options include standard 18×14 fiberglass, no-see-um (20×20) for waterfront and wooded properties, super-screen pet-resistant mesh with about 7× the tear strength of standard, and solar shade screen for west-facing patios. We can mix mesh types — pet screen on lower panels, standard up top.
Common add-ons: pet doors, kick plates to protect screens from chairs and pets, soffit lighting pre-wires, and pavers or deck refresh under the new screen room. We’ll talk through what fits your project during the free estimate.
A poorly built lanai screen tears in the first storm, sags within a year, or leaves gaps where bugs get through. A properly framed screen room with the right aluminum extrusions, tensioned mesh, and clean attachment to the home’s soffit lasts decades and keeps the porch usable year-round.
Brownings Aluminum builds lanais the right way: in-house crew start to finish, factual estimates with no pressure, and a final walkthrough before we leave. Rescreens typically run 1–3 days; new screen enclosures on existing covered spaces run 1–2 weeks.

A Look at Our Lanai & Patio Work
In Marion County’s climate, expect 7 to 12 years before screens need replacing. Sun exposure, pet damage, and storm activity all affect lifespan. The aluminum frame itself typically lasts 25 to 30+ years.
A lanai is a screened porch or covered patio attached to the home. A pool enclosure (pool cage) is a larger aluminum structure that wraps your pool and pool deck — usually a freestanding cage. Many Florida homes have both, and we build both.
